What are we looking for?

The Refresh publishes a variety of writing that refreshes, renews, relaxes, replenishes and resists. We publish everything from photo essays to listicles to researched pieces.

Send us your personal essays, health and wellness pieces, deep looks into technology, science or career topics, book reviews, sharp takes on film, TV and pop culture, musings on social justice, interviews, food writing, pet and animal writing, and more. If you’re passionate about a topic, there’s a good chance we can help you mold it into something that fits in with our vision and expresses your unique voice.

How to Pitch

Send an email to co-founders and editors Lauren and Andrea at rfrshmail (at) gmail dot com. In your pitch, explain your idea in one to two paragraphs. Include any relevant details about why you are the perfect person to tackle your topic.  We’re happy to receive pitches from emerging writers, but if you’ve been published before, please include 2-3 links to any clips.
